Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2026

IEGrinds.online respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who we are

IEGrinds.online is an educational platform designed to support apprentices. The website is operated by the site owner.

2. What data we collect

  • Name and email address
  • User account information
  • Uploaded files and content
  • Messages sent via contact forms
  • IP address and basic security logs
  • Limited device, session and approximate-location data used only for account security and fraud prevention

3. Why we collect your data

  • To create and manage user accounts
  • To allow content uploads and access learning materials
  • To respond to enquiries and support requests
  • To maintain site security and prevent misuse
  • To protect personal accounts from simultaneous use on more than one device

4. Legal basis for processing

Personal data is processed based on user consent, performance of a contract (account services), legitimate interests such as site security, and legal obligations where required.

5. Data retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary. Account data is kept while an account remains active. Contact messages and logs are stored for limited periods.

6. Data sharing

IEGrinds.online does not sell or rent personal data. Data may be processed by trusted service providers such as hosting or email services, solely to operate the website.

7. Cookies

This website uses essential cookies required for basic functionality, including login sessions. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

8. Your rights

  • Request access to your personal data
  • Request correction or deletion
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Request restriction of processing

9. Data security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are in place to protect personal data from unauthorised access or misuse.

10. Personal accounts and one-device use

IEGrinds accounts are personal. A normal account may be actively used by only one person on one device at a time. Multiple tabs in the same browser session count as one device. Different students may use their own accounts on the same hostel, college, workplace or household Wi-Fi.

Confirmed simultaneous use of the same account from two different devices can result in a temporary suspension or an administrator review. The decision is based on overlapping genuine account activity, not on a shared IP address alone.

Limited device-token, session, IP and approximate-location information is processed for security and fraud prevention. Raw device tokens and complete IP addresses are not shown to users. You can dispute an incorrect decision from Account → Security and Devices or the support form.
